Zia Tortilla

Nixtamalization is an ancient process involving soaking and cooking corn in ash, lime, or calcium to remove the outer cover. This reduces mycotoxins, increases amino acid bioavailability, produces bio-available niacin, and enhances mineral absorption. It also improves texture, aroma, and flavor.

Zia’s Nixtamal Tortilla Chips have three ingredients: Non-GMO corn, Redmond Real Salt, and sunflower oil. No preservatives or additives!

Minimal Carbon Footprint Our corn is grown locally, chips are made in our factory, and waste is composted. The bag is made from kraft paper and lined with compostable film from renewable plants.
